Physician Payment Reform Strategies

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) established the Quality Payment Program, a new payment approach that rewards high-quality patient care through participation in Advanced Alternative Payment Models (Advanced APMs) and the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS).
